The Ranger Pack
$325.00

A working pack, built to be carried for years.

The Ranger Pack is a durable everyday carry designed for long days, changing weather, and steady use. Built from waxed canvas with full-grain leather straps and solid brass hardware, it balances structure with flexibility. Substantial without feeling rigid.

The top-loading main compartment offers generous capacity for daily essentials, layers, or travel gear, while dual exterior pockets keep frequently used items close at hand. Adjustable leather straps secure the flap and age naturally with use, developing character alongside the canvas body.

Each Ranger Pack is hand built in Colorado, one at a time, with an emphasis on durability, repairability, and honest construction. It is made to move between town and trail without changing bags and to look better the longer it’s carried.

Built to work. Built to wear in. Built to keep.

The Miner's Tent The Miner's Tent

The Miner's Tent
$1,195.00

A long-stay shelter rooted in early American field craft.

The Miner’s Tent takes its cues from the canvas tents once used by surveyors, prospectors, and mountain crews; structures built to withstand weather, time, and repeated use. Each tent is built by a fourth-generation tent builder based in Colorado, carrying forward a lineage of craft shaped by hard use and high country conditions.

Heavy canvas offers natural breathability and reliable weather protection, while a rigid pole structure creates generous interior volume and stable tension. A rear window introduces light and airflow, and a removable floor allows the shelter to shift between clean living quarters and a grounded, open connection to the land.

This is a tent for settling in rather than moving fast. Made for base camps, extended stays, and nights spent returning to the same place again and again.

Built to endure. Built to be lived in.

The Fiatiron Folding Campfire Grill

The Fiatiron Folding Campfire Grill
$195.00

A simple tool for cooking over real fire.

The Flatiron Folding Campfire Grill is built for open flames, glowing coals, and meals made without hurry. Inspired by early campfire grills and chuckwagon cookware, it favors solid materials and straightforward design over excess features.

The steel cooking surface provides ample space for cast iron, kettles, or food cooked directly over the fire. Folding legs deploy quickly and pack flat for transport, allowing the grill to move easily from truck to campsite to hearth. Its stable stance keeps cookware level over uneven ground, while the open design lets you manage heat by shifting position rather than adjusting mechanisms.

This is not a novelty grill or a once-a-year accessory. It is a dependable piece of camp infrastructure. Meant to be used often, darkened by smoke, and seasoned by repeated fires.

Built for flame. Built for patience. Built to earn its place by the fire.

The Camp Rug
$425.00

A grounding layer, built to travel.

The Camp Rug pairs a waxed canvas underside with a soft American wool surface. Designed to handle dirt, moisture, and repeated use while offering warmth and comfort where you land. The canvas bottom protects against damp ground and abrasion, while the wool top insulates, breathes, and softens hard surfaces.

It rolls easily for transport and stores inside a dedicated travel bag that pulls double duty as a general-purpose carry. Useful long after camp is broken down. Spread it inside a tent, beside a fire, or anywhere people naturally gather.

Made to move when needed and stay put when it matters, the Camp Rug brings a sense of order and comfort to open ground without feeling delicate or precious.

A simple foundation. Built to go with you.

Alpine Leisure

crafts gear and experiences that honor the people, places, and moments that shape a life outdoors; gear meant to be kept, and stories meant to be passed on.

  • Alpine Leisure was born from a quiet recognition. A rusted Coleman lantern in my father’s garage. An object present on my first camping trip as a child and still intact decades later which sparked a realization: no one is building outdoor gear to last for generations anymore.

    That moment set the course.

The outdoor industry races to be lighter, faster, more technical. And that matters… sometimes. On a big alpine route, performance absolutely counts. But most of the time, you just want the gear you trust. The gear I love most is simply the gear I’ve had the longest.

Alpine Leisure is a response to that truth. We don’t want to be the most technical brand in the field. We want to be the one still in use a century from now. Patched up, passed down, and full of stories like my father’s lantern, like the enamel mugs at your cabin, like the objects of your earliest camping memories.

We build heirloom-quality tools, gear, textiles, cookware, and tableware for those who see time outside not as recreation, but as a return to family, to rhythm, to stillness, to a sense of a younger self. Our products are designed to be part of the moment. And then, part of the memory.

We are not for everyone. We are for the few who want fewer things, but better things. We choose timeless materials: wool, waxed canvas, cast iron, leather, brass, enameled steel, wood. We choose simplicity over spectacle, longevity over trend.

In the end, Alpine Leisure isn’t about what we make. It’s about what endures.

Our hope is simple: that what we build outlasts us, and that the stories these goods carry will belong to you, and to those who come after you. We are excited to prove that outdoor gear can once again be built to last a lifetime.

    Welcome to Alpine.

    Jason Thomas / Founder

  • Alpine Leisure exists to build fewer things, but better things. Objects that last, that gather meaning, and that outlive us. Rooted in reverence for materials and moments, we are building a legacy brand. One that carries stories forward, honors craft, and proves that outdoor equipment can be heirloom as much as it is tool.

So it has become our mission:

To build objects and experiences that honor the people, places, and moments that shape a life outdoors; gear meant to be kept, and stories meant to be passed on.

To build gear that is designed to outlive you and embrace what comes next.

  • Alpine” has always meant more to me than a summit. It’s a place that engages all senses. It carries a kind of clarity I’ve only found in high places.

Leisure” is not about luxury. It’s about time being on your side. Time to gather, to notice, to slow down. The kind of time that turns experience into memory.

Together, Alpine Leisure is both a place and a posture. It names what we’re building: gear that gives shape to stillness, that honors the outdoors as more than recreation, and that lasts long enough to become part of the story you pass on.

What to expect from us.

Our story is just beginning. Over the coming months, we’ll share glimpses of the work in progress: first samples, the makers we’re partnering with, and the small details that turn objects into heirlooms. You’ll see the line come to life piece by piece (the wool, the canvas, the iron, the leather) and how each is shaped into gear meant to be kept.

We’re not rushing. The first collection is being built carefully, tested, and refined so that it can stand the test of decades. In the meantime, this space will grow alongside the work. A place to follow along, to see the story unfold, and, if you choose, to walk with us from the start.

Our Brand Philosophy

Alpine Leisure was born from the belief that the most valuable gear isn’t always the lightest, fastest, or most optimized; it’s the gear that you keep and gathers stories. In an industry dominated by constant iteration: faster, lighter, newer, we’ve chosen a different path. We believe in building a core collection that evolves slowly and ages well. At the heart of our brand philosophy are a few key truths:

1. The best gear is the gear you’ve kept the longest.

2. Emotional utility is just as important as technical utility.

3. A product’s job is not just to function, but to mean something.
